It started in Taipei.
When Felix and Kendo were there, most nights out began with dinner: four to six friends, a good meal, then the search for a proper drink before moving on.
Every decent cocktail bar wanted a reservation and a whole evening, and in too many bars a cocktail meant ten minutes of waiting. We didn't want a table. Just a couple good drinks with the group, no strings attached.
Taipei's draft cocktail bars got that right: you stand with your friends and premium cocktails come straight from the tap. Felix later took Nami there too. SAYSAY is the bar the three of us wanted in Ho Chi Minh City.
